USE OF COLOUR

colour is a complementary image. colour is one of the visual elements, in addition there is a point, line, plane, space and texture. in visual design in general, the colour represents the psychological air painter in communicating.
"Colour is also element that is very sharp to the touch sensitivity so as to stimulate the sense of vision, attention and interest of a person." (Newton, 2011).
1.     Colour principal (primary) is that colour that guide each person to use it. the colour for primary is red yellow and blue.
2.     Secondary colour is a mixture of primary colours:
·       Red mix with blue = purple/violet
·       Red mix with yellow = orange
·       Yellow  mix with blue = green
3.     Tertiary colour is a secondary colour mixture with a primary:
·       Red mix with Purple = red purple
·       Purple mix with blue = purple blue
·       Blue  mix with green = aquamarine (green blue)
·       Green mix with yellow = yellow green

"Be reviewed from this taste of the colour, the colour can be grouped in to 4 namely" (Eko Nugroho, 2011):
1.     Neutral colours are the colours that no longer has a purity of colour in the other words, is not a primary or secondary colour. This colour is mixture of the three colour components at once but not exactly the same composition.
2.     Colour contrast is memorable colours opposite each other. Colour contrast when obtained from the opposite colour consisting of primary colours and secondary colours, but did not rule out the colour contrast is also formed by treating value or purity of the colour. Example of contrasting colour is red with green, yellow with purple and blue with orange.

4.     Cold colour is the colour group in the range of half a circle of colours ranging from green to purple. This colour is a symbol of tendered, cool, comfortable and so on. Cool colours impressive distances, but it is precisely the goods that have cold colours of the heat radiation.

The meaning and function of colour

Colour has the functions of the association. It means that the colour has a meaning and a function that affects a person psychologically to see it. Psychologically colour has an effect on people, because in addition to causing sensation of pleasure and raises also not happy that the use of colour in the presentation of learning materials should consider these factors.

"Ability colours create the impression, capable of causing certain effects."  ( Drs.Mansour, 2011 ). The colours were not a phenomenon that can only be observes, that colour affects behaviour, plays an important role in the assessment of aesthetic and also determine whether or not we would like an assortment of objects.

USE OF VISUAL

"visual is a view or something that can be seen. visual communication design is the study of the concept of communication and creative expression techniques and media to convey messages and ideas visually, including managing audio with graphic design elements such as the form of images, font colour and layout so that the message and the idea can be accepted by the target" (Sunardi Purwosuwito, 2010).
visual-based media plays a very important role in the learning process. visual media can facilitate comprehension and strengthen memory. visual can also cultivate students interest and to give the relationship between the content of the subject matter to the real world
visual forms such as:
1.     image representation that shows an object look.
2.     diagram depicting the relationship of concepts, organization and organizational structure of matter.
3.     map that shows the relationship between the elements of space in the content of the material.
4.     graph, such as graphs and tables chart.

Conclusion
The use of colour from what I had read is that we can mix colour and after that can become another colour. What I read from background study is quite interesting because if we try mix with different colour the output also will be different, that why we have so many colour in this world.
